Are we now being told the truth about commercial pet foods?

This was seen in a local supermarket. Are we now being told the truth about commercial pet foods? You will be amazed at how close to the truth this picture is. Read on and make up your own mind. Now is the time to switch to natural raw feeding you will then know exactly what your are feeding your dog or cat.

This is the ingredients list of a very well known brand of dog food:
Dried Chicken and Turkey: 28% (chicken: 17%), maize, wheat, animal fat, dried beet pulp (3.8%), barley, sorghum, hydrolysed animal proteins, dried whole egg, potassium chloride, calcium carbonate, sodium chloride, sodium hexametaphosphate, fructooligosaccharides (0.15%), linseed.

Sodium hexametaphosphate (also known as sodium HMP or E452i) is added to some dog foods because of its effect of softening and reducing tooth tartar.
Although it is relatively effective at this, sodium HMP is classified as an irritant if eaten

This is the really worrying bit!!!!!

The cleaning product ‘Calgon’ (a well known product for lime scale prevention in washing machines) used to be made from pure sodium HMP before its formula had to be changed due to environmental concerns!
